Yegor Zabelov – one of the most unique accordionists in modern Belarusian music, a composer, an author of music for theatrical performances and movies. He founded duo “Gurzuf” which played in the super final of the live music competition “The Global Battle of the Bands” in London (2007), received an honorary Sergei Kuryokhin Prize for Contemporary Art (St.Petersburg, 2010), has played more than 400 concerts in European clubs and festival venues. His music can be described as an experimental mix of accordion rock, avant-garde jazz and neo-classical music. Zabelov himself finds influences in his compositions in minimalist classics: Philip Glass, Steve Reich, also Arvo Part and Finnish experimental accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen.
He also appears as a special guest in the program “Liederseelen” with the well-known german duo Bobo & Herzfeld in many places in Germany.
